The Hudson Valley Symphony Orchestra opens its 2025-2026 season with music by Beethoven, Vaughan Williams, and Mozart! Principal Conductor and Artistic Advisor André Raphel leads the orchestra in this charming and exuberant program. The concert will begin with Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte Overture. The orchestra is delighted to be joined by acclaimed violinist Arnaud Sussmann, performing Mozart’s brilliant Violin Concerto No. 5. Experience the lush and majestic folk melody Five Variants of ‘Dives and Lazarus’ for string orchestra and harp by Vaughan Williams. Beethoven’s 4th Symphony, full of lyricism and liveliness, concludes the opening concert. Reduced ticket prices are available for seniors and students, and children under five are welcome free of charge. All are invited to attend the uplifting opening of the HVSO’s 25-26 season!
The concert will take place on Saturday, November 15th, at 3:00 pm at the Family Partnership Center (29 N. Hamilton St, Poughkeepsie, NY). The doors will open at 2:15 pm.
