Basic Bookbinding (NPS)
Learn various basic binding techniques to create several small artist books! Participants will explore accordion and sewing techniques to design frame books, tag books, Japanese four-hole binding, and Japanese butterfly four-needle binding. Proper folding, paper grain direction, and simple tearing, cutting, and sewing will be emphasized to make bookmaking accessible to all levels. We may even get into some pop-up techniques if time allows!
