Ancram Opera House presents its first theatrical event of the fall, AN ILIAD. Performances will take place on October 14 - 17 & October 21 - 24. Thu, Fri & Sat at 7pm; Sun at 3pm. A contemporary take on the Homeric tale, AN ILIAD recounts the most brutal and intimate moments of the Trojan War. The Poet, played by MaConnia Chesser (Shakespeare & Co. member and seen virtually as part of two AOH’s Crystal Radio Sessions), performs a narrative of bloodshed, passion, and primal rage incited by warfare. This event will be presented LIVE at the Ancram Opera House, located at 1330 County Route 7 in Ancram, NY. For this indoor performance, patrons will be required to provide proof of full vaccination status and wear a mask while inside the building; seating will be limited to facilitate social distancing.
