a gift horse's mouth: Five Short Films at EMPAC
EMPAC at Rensselaer invites WAMC audiences to join us for "a gift horse’s mouth," featuring short films by various artists that address relationships between the body, mechanical labor, and market forces.
Taking its title from the timeworn saying “don’t look a gift horse in the mouth,” the program engages the labor film genre, choreography, militancy in video games, and a fictional time travel economy, to playfully open the Decommission series from curator Katherine C.M. Adams.
