44th Annual Saratoga Antique Bottle Show and Sale

44th Annual Saratoga Antique Bottle Show and Sale

The Saratoga County Fairgrounds will once again become the gathering place for antique bottle collectors and dealers from across the Eastern United States who share a love for one thing: glass. There is an astounding variety of bottles and related items to be found at the show. One can find 18th and early 19th century bottles from New England glasshouses, Bitters and medicinals from the quack medicine era, and bottles from the Saratoga and surrounding springs. Milk bottles, pyro glazed soda bottles, insulators, and other 20th century proprietary bottles are also popular items, as well as outstanding examples of stoneware and ephemera. Attendees are encouraged to bring in their old bottles for identification- bottles with contents should be photographed. For anyone who joins the Museum there will be a free raffle of an historic Saratoga Springs mineral water bottle. Food and refreshments will be available on site provided by the Brickyard Tavern and Grill.

Parking is free.

The Bottle Show serves as the National Bottle Museums chief fundraiser. Located at 76 Milton Ave in the village of Ballston Spa, the Museum will be open the day of the show, featuring new and recently renovated displays which are educational and appeal to anyone with an interest in history. The JRM artist space on the second floor will also be open with a showing of The Art Of The Bottle Vll, with all art having a bottle theme. To learn more please visit the website or visit the Facebook page. The National Bottle Museum is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) educational institution dedicated to the preservation and history of bottles and the glassblowing industry.
