Maverick, Nexus, And Peter Schickele

The Maverick Concert Hall was hand-built by artists in a woodland glade just two miles from Woodstock, NY in 1916.

The centennial season of the historic Maverick concert hall officially kicks off Saturday with a free concert for young people at 11 a.m. and a concert by renowned percussion group NEXUS at 8 PM.

The program features the premiere of Peter Schickele's “Percussion Sonata No. 3, Maverick." To tell us more we welcome musical satirist "Professor" Peter Shickele and NEXUS’s Garry Kvistad.

Joe talks to people on the radio for a living. In addition to countless impressive human "gets" - he has talked to a lot of Muppets. Joe grew up in Philadelphia, has been on the area airwaves for more than 25 years and currently lives in Washington County, NY with his wife, Kelly, and their dog, Brady. And yes, he reads every single book.
