Albany, NY – Most Americans believe that breast cancer is the greatest threat to women. But statistics indicate that women in the US run a far greater risk of dying from lung cancer - even if they've never smoked. Lung cancer kills more women than breast cancer and all other malignant cancers combined. Yet research on lung cancer lags far behind studies on both breast and prostate cancer. A new report called "Out of the Shadows...Women and Lung Cancer," urges more funding for research.
