The woman who filed a criminal complaint against New York Governor Andrew Cuomo in Albany County last week gave an extensive interview on CBS News this morning detailing the allegations.

Brittany Commisso is referred to as “Executive Assistant #1” in the state attorney general’s report detailing sexual harassment allegations against the Democratic governor from 11 women. Her lawyer filed a police report over the late 2020 incident at the governor’s mansion. Commisso says the third-term governor needs to be held accountable.

"Maybe to him, that he thought this was normal, but to me and the other women that he did this to, it was not normal. It was not welcomed and it was certainly not consensual," she told CBS.

The report released Tuesday by state Attorney General Tish James details “a pattern of inappropriate conduct” directed toward the staffer, including the accusation that the governor groped the woman’s breast. Governor Cuomo, who faces an impeachment probe, has denied any misconduct and refused calls to resign. Lawyers for the governor last week questioned the attorney general’s motives and said independent investigators ambushed Cuomo with a one-sided report. The governor’s top aide, Melissa DeRosa, resigned Sunday.

In the CBS interview, Commisso reiterated some of the details she told investigators working for the attorney general.

The governor’s attorneys disputed Commisso’s account and said the governor would address the claims himself soon.
