There is a renewed effort to help free Cyntoia Brown, a woman who’s been incarcerated since 2004 in Tennessee after getting a life sentence for killing a man she says hired her for sex when she was 16. Her lawyers say she was a runaway who was trafficked by a man who raped her and forced her into prostitution.

Here & Now‘s Robin Young learns more from Dan Birman (@DanBirman), a filmmaker who produced the 2011 documentary “Me Facing Life: The Cyntoia Brown Story.”
