Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin says he likes what he's hearing from President Barack Obama on improving the economy and strengthening the middle class.
Shumlin, who like Obama is a Democrat, reacted to the president's speech on the economy on Wednesday by saying he applauds the president's efforts to help increase jobs, improve access to education, enhance home ownership possibilities and other goals.
Shumlin credits Obama with what he calls steady economic growth, with 7.2 million new jobs created in the past 40 months.
