Montpelier, VT – Last week, a Vermont House committee proposed charging a multi-million dollar annual fee to Entergy/Vermont Yankee if it grants the nuclear power plant permission to build a dry cask storage facility. It's a concept that's distasteful to the governor and the company. But lawmakers and supporters say the fund is necessary to transition to other energy resources in the future.
