North Adams Hospital Lays Off 19

North Adams, Ma – North Adams Regional Hospital will be eliminating another 19 positions from its workforce, as well as some non-labor budget cuts, in order to save 1.6 million dollars this fiscal year. Our Berkshire Bureau Chief Charlie Deitz reports that the move is in response to slumping reimbursements from insurance providers, a trend that is likely to get worse after national health care reform is passed
