An upstate New York company that makes luxury mahogany motorboats is moving its manufacturing operations and expanding its workforce.

Hacker Boat Co. on Friday detailed plans for its move to Queensbury Business Park near the southern edge of the Adirondack Park. The new 90,000-square-foot facility will replace a production facility and a restoration and repair location in Ticonderoga.

The Post-Star of Glens Falls reports that construction is slated to begin later this year on three adjacent parcels spanning 17 acres.

Hacker-Craft CEO George Badcock said the company's Ticonderoga locations employ about 45, but the new location will staff up to 80 employees in a couple of years.
