Longtime West Coast baseball front office figure Josh Rawitch has been named the new President of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown. Rawitch, who is 44, will begin September 9 as the museum’s eighth president. He replaces Tim Mead. Rawitch has spent the past decade with the Arizona Diamondbacks after 15 years in the Dodgers’ front office. Mead stepped down in April after two years.
Former president Jeff Idleson has been running the Hall as interim president since.
