A second candidate has launched a Democratic primary campaign against Massachusetts U.S. Senator Ed Markey, who is seeking reelection in 2020. Steve Pemberton, a self-described "former foster child turned successful executive and author," kicked off his campaign Tuesday in his hometown of New Bedford.
Shannon Liss-Riordan is also running in hopes of unseating Markey, who has been in Congress for more than 40 years.
