WAMC Wins New York State Associated Press Association Awards

WAMC won several awards Saturday at the New York State Associated Press Association Awards in Saratoga Springs. 

52 radio and television stations submitted 607 entries in the contest, which featured news and sports stories from 2018.

WAMC received first-place distinctions in the following categories:

Digital Presence: WAMC-FM, Albany

WAMC Award

Weathercast: Paul Caiano and Garett Argianas, WAMC-FM, Albany.

WAMC received second-place distinctions in the following categories:

Spot News Coverage: WAMC-FM, Albany, "Schoharie Limo Crash Kills 20."

Continuing Coverage: Dave Lucas, WAMC-FM, Albany, "Ellazar Williams Shooting Divides Albany."

Sports Coverage: Ian Pickus, WAMC-FM, Albany, "Jamion Christian Brings "Mayhem" to Siena."
