Luna's Dean Wareham On Re-releases, Reunion And Lou Reed

Formed in the early 90s, alternative rock band Luna will be playing tonight at Mass MOCA in North Adams. The band, led by guitarist and singer Dean Wareham, is touring again after breaking up in 2005.

In addition to fronting Luna, Wareham is also known for his earlier band, Galaxie 500, and his recordings with his wife, Britta Phillips as Dean and Britta. Wareham and Phillips also worked on the music for Noah Bambauch’s 2005 film The Squid and the Whale.

Wareham spoke with WAMC’s Lucas Willard about Lou Reed, re-releases, and bringing Luna back together.
