Felony Charges Expected After $250k In Fireworks Seized

Connecticut state police say illegal fireworks worth nearly $250,000 have been seized from a home and a storage barn in Danbury.

Four trailer loads of the fireworks were hauled away following the search Wednesday afternoon.

State police said Thursday that drugs were also found during the search and they expect several people will be arrested on felony charges.

The investigation began after a complaint was made about the illegal use and sale of fireworks and explosives. The agencies involved in the case include the FBI, the Danbury fire marshal's office and the state police bomb squad.
