Meteorologist Paul Caiano's Morning Forecast

Here's NewsChannel 13 Meteorologist Paul Caiano's WAMC Regional Forecast:

Snow, heavy at times this morning. Lighter snow through the afternoon.  Snow will mix with some sleet in the Mid-Hudson Valley across into Connecticut for a time.  Freezing rain and some icing is likely closer to the coast. Breezy and very cold.  Highs in the teens on average.

Storm total accumulations will be heaviest across most of interior New York and New England with 10 to 16 inches of snow in most locations.  Further away from the storm track into the Northern Adirondacks, the Champlain Valley and Northern Vermont, 5 to 10 inches of snow will fall.  In the Southern Catskills, Mid-Hudson Valley and into Interior Connecticut where there is a brief mixture with sleet, 6-12 inches of snow is likely.  In the lower Hudson Valley and closer to the coast 3-6 inches of snow can be expected along with ice buildup due to the freezing rain.

Snow ending this evening, mostly cloudy, breezy and very cold overnight tonight.  Lows near 0 with wind chill values -5 to -15.

A mix of sun and clouds and very cold tomorrow.  Highs in the teens.
