Assistance is available for homeowners, renters and business owners affected by Irene, which left a swath of devastation following its August 28 passage through Vermont. But people must register with FEMA by 10 p.m. Tuesday. FEMA spokesperson Deanna Frazier...

"If they don't register, they will possibly leave money on the table," said Frazier.

Nearly 7,000 individuals and businesses in Vermont have applied for aid from FEMA.
