Immigrant Workers: 25% of Major Commonwealth Industry

Stockbridge, MA – The Massachusetts hospitality industry is a 6 billion dollar market, and immigrants make up more than 25 percent of the workforce. That's according to a study published by the Immigrant Learning Center which finds that immigrants are facing challenges in job security, workplace acceptance and access to public services. A meeting in Stockbridge, Massachusetts this week featured the researchers behind the report, as well as immigration and workforce specialists. WAMC's Berkshire Bureau Chief Charlie Deitz reports
