We’ll be discussing comics and sports cards today with Bill Townsend of Electric City Comics and Al Itskov of Al’s House of Sports Cards – both in Schenectady, New York. WAMC's Ray Graf hosts.
Bill is the owner of Electric City Comics. Founded in 1982, it is now one of the oldest comic shops in upstate New York. Bill was an advisor to the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide Update, and has some experience on the other side of the publishing chain as a comic book writer.
Al is the sole proprietor of Al’s House of Sports Cards which he opened over 15 years ago. Al has been an avid collector all his life. His shop carries complete card sets and sports memorabilia.
