Dr. Suk Namkoong of Southwesten Vermont Medical Center joins Medical Monday to discuss orthopedics. WAMC's Alan Chartock hosts.

Dr. Namkoong is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center and Northern Berkshire Orthopedics, which are located in Bennington, VT, and Williamstown, MA, respectively. Both are managed in partnership with Dartmouth-Hitchcock. Originally from Seoul, South Korea, Dr. Namkoong attended Princeton University for his undergraduate education, earning a bachelor of science in 1994. He went on to earn his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in 1998. Dr. Namkoong completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was awarded Resident of the Year. He also received fellowship training in sports medicine at New York University Hospital for Joint Diseases from 2003 to 2004. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
