massmoca.org

Since opening in 1999, MASS MoCA has become one of the world's premier centers for making and showing the best art of our time - it ranks among the most visited institutions in the United States dedicated to new art. More than 80 major new works of art and more than 50 performances have been created through fabrication and rehearsal residencies in North Adams.

In addition to challenging and inspiring visual art, MASS MoCA brings valuable performing arts to the region including film, theatre, dance, and music in just about any genre you can imagine. MASS MoCA’s Director, Joe Thompson and Director of Communications, Jodi Joseph join us to tell us more.

Dr. Alan Chartock is professor emeritus at the University at Albany. He hosts the weekly Capitol Connection series, heard on public radio stations around New York. The program, for almost 12 years, highlighted interviews with Governor Mario Cuomo and now continues with conversations with state political leaders. Dr. Chartock also appears each week on The Media Project and The Roundtable and offers commentary on Morning Edition, weekdays at 7:40 a.m.
Joe talks to people on the radio for a living. In addition to countless impressive human "gets" - he has talked to a lot of Muppets. Joe grew up in Philadelphia, has been on the area airwaves for more than 25 years and currently lives in Washington County, NY with his wife, Kelly, and their dog, Brady. And yes, he reads every single book.
