Public Education/DSS Partnership

Berkshire Farm Center & Services for Youthis one of New York State’s leading nonprofit child welfare agencies and has a distinguished history of working with children and families for 125 years.

On Thursday, May 23, representatives from the New York State Assembly and the New York State Department of Education joined dozens of school superintendents and agency officials at Questar III BOCES to announce a new partnership to support students, families and young adults in the Rensselaer, Columbia and Greene Counties.

This partnership is intended to increase engagement and collaboration among county agencies and service providers, public schools, the BOCES and others, in an effort to increase the graduation rates of special education students and to better prepare them for the realities facing them after high school.

Bruce Potter is the Berkshire Union Free School District Superintendent and Public Education/DSS Partnership Steering Committee Chair.

Joe talks to people on the radio for a living. In addition to countless impressive human "gets" - he has talked to a lot of Muppets. Joe grew up in Philadelphia, has been on the area airwaves for more than 25 years and currently lives in Washington County, NY with his wife, Kelly, and their dog, Brady. And yes, he reads every single book.
