Democratic Senators are vilifying House Republicans in Washington as a bill that includes $880 billion in cuts to Medicaid moves forward.

Following a report issued Tuesday showing record profits from drug companies, Vermont Senator Peter Welch and Michigan Congresswoman Debbie Dingell, both Democrats, are calling for change.

Vermont Senator Peter Welch joined advocacy organizations to discuss efforts to protect a provision of the Inflation Reduction Act that will allow the federal government to negotiate the price of prescription drugs for Medicare recipients.
