Giants Down Washington 24-17, Danes Second Half Rally Helps Defeated New Jersey Tech

In the NFL, Andre Brown ran for a pair of touchdowns and Justin Tuck recorded four sacks of Robert Griffin III as the New York Giants downed Washington 24-17. Eli Manning was 22 of 28 for 235 yards and a TD to help the Giants overcome an early 14-0 deficit.

Elsewhere, Stephen Gostkowski booted a pair of 53-yard field goals in the fourth quarter to give New England a 34-31 win over Houston.

Miami downed the Jets 23-3. Buffalo fell to Atlanta 34-31 in overtime. It was Philadelphia over Arizona 24-21. Minnesota beat Chicago 23-20 in overtime. Jacksonville beat Cleveland 32-28. Carolina topped Yampa Bay 27-6. Indianapolis beat Tennessee 22-14. San Francisco defeated St. Louis 23-13. Cincinnati slid past San Diego 17-10 and Denver won against Kansas City 35-28. The Broncos continue to lead the AFC West.

In college football, Florida State and Ohio State now find themselves as the top teams in the latest BCS standings following Alabama's loss at Auburn on Saturday.

In the NBA, New Orleans defeated New York 103-99. Miami bested Charlotte 99-98 stretching their winning streak to 10 straight. Denver passed Toronto 112-98. It was Indiana over the Clippers 105-100. Detroit beat Philadelphia 115-100. Miami edged Charlotte 99-98. Golden State defeated Sacramento 115-113. Oklahoma City won against Minnesota 113-103 and the Lakers fell to Portland 114-108.

Checking college basketball, the Siena Saints lost 68-63 to Purdue.

And D.J. Evans scored 17 points in the second half to help UAlbany defeat New Jersey Tech 66-65. The Great Danes trailed by as many as 14 points early and shot only 25 percent from the field in the first half.  

Elsewhere, No. 3 Kentucky defeated Providence 79-65 and fifth-ranked Oklahoma St. fell to No. 21 Memphis 73-68.
