Bills Defeat Jets 37-14, Jimmie Johnson Is Nascar's Top Driver For Sixth Time

In the NFL, the Bills forced four turnovers in their 37-14 win over the Jets in Buffalo.

Elsewhere, the New York Giants allowed just 55 rushing yards and kept Green Bay out of the end zone until the fourth quarter of a 27-13 win against the Packers.

The Kansas City Chiefs become the last NFL team to suffer a loss this season, and their hold on first place in the AFC West also evaporated with a 27-17 loss to the Broncos in Denver.

Arizona defeated Jacksonville 27-14. It was Tampa Bay over Atlanta 41-28. Chicago won against Baltimore 23-20 in overtime. Cincinnati topped Cleveland 41-20. Pittsburgh downed Detroit 37-27. Oakland edged Houston 28-23. Philadelphia bested Washington 24-16. Miami took San Diego 20-16. Seattle beat Minnesota 41-20 and San Francisco fell to New Orleans 23-20.

In the NBA, it was the Lakers over Detroit 114-99. Portland slid past Toronto 118-110 and Memphis defeated Sacramento 97-86.

Checking news on the ice, Los Angeles blanked the NY Rangers 1-0. Columbus defeated Ottawa 4-1. Chicago bested San Jose 4-1 and Winnipeg fell to Minnesota 2-1.

Jimmie Johnson is NASCAR's top driver for the sixth time in eight years.

Johnson's ninth-place finish at Homestead-Miami Speedway was good enough for him to clinch the Sprint Cup title by 19 points over Matt Kenseth.

In other sports news, the College of Saint Rose women’s soccer team defeated Adelphi 2-0 in the second round of the NCAA Division 2 championship.

Baylor moved up to No. 4 in the latest BCS standings. Alabama, Florida State and Ohio State remain No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3.
