In the NBA playoffs, on Saturday the Pacers knocked out the Knicks 106-99 in Game 6 sending them to face Miami for their first Eastern Conference final since 2004. On Sunday, the Spurs took Game 1 of the NBA's Western Conference finals defeating the Grizzlies 105-83. Tony Parker finished with 20 points and nine assists.

In the NHL playoffs, the Bruins scored two goals in the third to beat the New York Rangers 5-2 and take a 2-0 lead in the series. The Rangers host the next two games Tuesday and Thursday. The Ottawa Senators won against Pittsburgh 2-1 in double-overtime.

Elsewhere on the ice, the United States won its first medal at the ice hockey world championships in nine years, taking the bronze by beating Finland 3-2 in a penalty shootout.

Moving over to baseball, the Red Sox beat the Twins 5-1 for their fifth straight win. John Lackey allowed one hit over six innings before a three-hour rain delay. Elsewhere in the American League, the Yankees vs. Jays game was postponed due to weather. Cleveland shut out Seattle 6-0. Tampa Bay beat Baltimore 3-1. The Angels passed the White Sox 6-2. Oakland beat Kansas City 4-3. Miguel Cabrera had one of the best performances of his career hitting three homers despite Detroit's 11-8 loss to Texas.

In the National League, it was the Mets over the Cubs 4-3. Miami beat Arizona 2-1. Philadelphia slid past Cincinnati 3-2. Atlanta beat the Dodgers 5-2. St. Louis doubled up Milwaukee 4-2. Colorado shut out San Francisco 5-0 and San Diego cruised ahead of Washington 13-4.

Lastly, Pittsburgh shut out Houston 1-0 in interleague play.

In other sports news, Rafael Nadal and Serena Williams are leaving Rome as the 2013 winners of the Italian Open, the last event before the start of the French Open on Sunday.

In golf news, Sang-Moon Bae has won the Byron Nelson Championship for his first PGA Tour title. The 26-year-old South Korean closed with a 1-under 69 to finish at 13-under.
