The victims of the Boston Marathon bombings were remembered throughout the sports world last night. The Red Sox and Indians wore black armbands in Cleveland, while several teams including the Yankees played the Fenway Park favorite "Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond. Furthermore, the Celtics postponed their game against Indiana and in the NHL the Bruins game was also postponed.

Checking baseball news, Boston used a seven-run second inning to rip the Indians 7-2. Mike Napoli capped the rally with a three-run double, one day after his walk-off double against Tampa Bay.

Robinson Cano paid tribute to Jackie Robinson in fitting fashion by hitting a three-run homer, and the New York Yankees beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-2

In the American League Baltimore past Tampa Bay 5-4. The White Sox beat Toronto 4-3. Minnesota won against the Angels 8-6. Oakland defeated Houston 4-3 and Detroit topped Seattle 6-2.

In the National League, there were two Mets games Tuesday night. Colorado doubled up New York during the first game 8-4 and beat the Mets again 9-8 in the second game.

The game between Philadelphia and Cincinnati was a tie with both teams not scoring. Miami beat Washington 8-2. Milwaukee edged ahead of San Francisco 10-8 and San Diego cruised past the Dodgers 9-2.

Checking interleague play, Atlanta doubled up Kansas City 6-3 and Texas whipped the Cubs 4-2.

In the NBA, Toronto beat Atlanta 113-96 and Portland fell to the Clippers 93-77.

In the NHL, the NY Islanders defeated Florida 5-2 and Philadelphia doubled up the Rangers 4-2.

Finally, Pat Summerall, the NFL player-turned-broadcaster, has died at the age of 82.
