Eclipses and the science of shadows

The full moon will venture into part of Earth’s shadow, bringing a lunar eclipse. But oddly enough, you won’t see it. That’s because it’s a penumbral eclipse. Which brings up the topic of shadows in space. This week: eclipses and the science of shadows.
