Virus Peak In Western Massachusetts Could Be Delayed

Hospital officials in western Massachusetts are hoping for a "slow burn" and not an "explosion" of COVID-19 cases so as not to overwhelm the health care system.

        Health care leaders in western Massachusetts are continuing to prepare for a surge in coronavirus patients.

    When that will happen and how bad it will be are unknown.

    Dr.  Mark Keroack, the president and CEO of Baystate Health, spoke Monday at Springfield City Hall.
