Vermont health officials say an outbreak of COVID-19 that began in the city of Winooski has grown to 62 cases. The additional positive 38 adults and 16 children now include residents of Burlington and other communities.
During the state’s regular Monday COVID-19 briefing, Health Commissioner Dr. Mark Levine provided an update following weekend testing.   “Forty-eight residents of Winooski, 9 Burlington residents and 5 from other towns in Chittenden County. We are offering testing every day this week in Winooski and in Burlington and we still expect the number of cases to rise over the coming days.”

There have been no reports of hospitalizations or deaths. Levine said that only one in five those testing positive reported symptoms.
