Vermont Opening Some Summer Camps With Limitations

In a pilot program Vermont is reopening some overnight summer camps. It’s hoped the move will help the state manage future changes to restrictions for out-of-state tourists.
The guidelines for the overnight summer camps say they can operate at 75% of capacity and there will be quarantine requirements.

Agency of Commerce and Community Development Secretary Lindsay Kurrle clarified that the move only applies to children’s overnight summer camps.   “It is not for regular campgrounds. And the reason for that is that those campers are contained and it enables us to really understand and who they have been with should there be an outbreak.”

There are also requirements for parents or others who bring the campers to Vermont.
