Two Westchester County-owned beaches will open to residents only for Memorial Day weekend.

The beaches at Croton Point Park in Croton-on-Hudson and Playland Park in Rye will be open for the season and at reduced capacity on Friday, May 22, through Monday, May 25. They will be available only to Westchester residents, and those entering the parks where the beaches are will be required to verify their Westchester residency with their county park pass or driver’s license with a Westchester address. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo recently announced that beaches will be open for Memorial Day weekend at 50 percent capacity and with social distancing rules in place. The two Westchester beaches will be open from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
