West Stockbridge voters cast ballots from their cars at the May 3rd, 2021 town meeting.

Town meeting and election season is underway in Berkshire County.

Voters in Monterey, Massachusetts approved the town’s $4.5 million 2022 operating budget at its annual meeting Saturday.

In Cheshire, Raymond Killeen and Shawn McGrath were voted onto the town’s select board Monday, as were Howard Rosenberg and John Duval in Adams.

At the same time at West Stockbridge’s town meeting, voters like Dominic Lydon rejected a bylaw that would expand town authority over vehicle sales licensing.

“I asked that it gets benched, gets looked at longer and harder, that more information is more freely available," he said. "And we talk about it some more.”

Other upcoming Berkshire town meetings include Becket’s on Saturday and Great Barrington’s in June, while Williamstown holds its town election May 11th.
