New York State Police say a father and son drowned while kayaking on Lake Champlain Friday.Police say they responded to the Willsboro Bay boat launch around 2:20 p.m. for an overturned kayak, which had been occupied by 28-year-old Patrick Wells and his 3-year-old son Beckett Wells of Willsboro.
They were found unresponsive in the water. Both were soon pronounced dead at regional hospitals.
