Judge Rules Former Koffee Kup Workers Must Get Time Off Payments

A judge has ruled that former employees of Koffee Kup Bakery must be paid for paid time off they had accrued before the company shut down in April.
A state judge decided Wednesday that the 500 employees of the bakery must be paid $812,000 plus interest for paid time off. The Brattleboro Reformer reports former employees received their final paychecks but then had the payouts for paid time off rescinded.

Koffee Kup had bakeries in Burlington and Brattleboro, Vermont, as well as in Connecticut. It was purchased in June by Georgia-based Flower Foods.
