Craig Gravina - The Albany Ale Project and the city's sudsy history

The city of Albany is steeped in history, including the history of one of the nation’s most beloved beverages, beer.

This afternoon the Albany Institute of History & Artwill host its second annual Hudson Valley Hops event, a celebration of the history of brewing in Albany and today’s craft beer industry in and around the Hudson Valley.

As part of the program Craig Gravina, member of the Albany Ale Project, will discuss his research of Albany Ale and the nearly 400 years of brewing in the city.

WAMC's Bob Barrett spoke with him recently about the city’s sudsy history.

Today's Hudson Valley Hops fundraiser at the Albany Institute of History & Art is scheduled from 4-7 p.m. For information on tickets you can call (518) 463-4478 ext. 408 or visit the institute's website here.
