COVID-19 Cases Continue To Rise At Williamstown Commons

Mar 31, 2020

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases is up to 20 at a nursing home in Williamstown, Massachusetts.

Williamstown Commons reported its first case of coronavirus on March 24th. One resident – 86-year-old Martha Robare – died from the virus on Saturday, while another was moved to Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. The rest of the cases are being dealt with inside the facility.

“Since we started dealing with this particular virus we started to move residents who were testing positive on to one unit so that they could be cared for by the same team in one area of the building to limit exposure to other residents,” said Lisa Gaudet, Vice President of Communications for Berkshire Healthcare.

There are over 130 residents at Williamstown Commons.
