Two New York congressmen from the Hudson Valley have been named to House committees.
Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney has been appointed to serve on the Intelligence Committee, the lone Democratic New Yorker on the committee. The 18th District congressman says the committee will take an active role in investigating Russian efforts to interfere in the 2016 presidential election. Vermont Democrat Peter Welch also was named to the Intelligence Committee. And Democratic 19th District Congressman Antonio Delgado will serve on two committees he pushed hard to secure — the Agriculture Committee and the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
