We Are Your Partner in Charitable Giving
The Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley works in Dutchess, Putnam and Ulster counties to strengthen our communities by helping people like you establish charitable funds to benefit the organizations and communities you love.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we are one of the largest grant makers in the Hudson Valley region, providing philanthropic services to donors and vital grant support to nonprofits working to improve quality of life for all.
Who We Serve
We work with community-minded people like you – individuals, families, businesses and nonprofits – to establish and administer charitable funds and endowments that support the causes you care about most.
How It Works
Your gifts are invested and then funds are granted out to support the nonprofits you choose. We can advise, inform and recommend based on our knowledge of local nonprofit organizations and community needs.
Why Your Gifts Matter
Your gifts and grants improve programs and services at nonprofits working in health and human services, education and scholarships, arts and culture, food security, animal welfare and more. We are experts in weaving together grants from donors who share similar goals and interests into programs that improve our communities.
Integral to Our Community
We collaborate and actively partner with government, private foundations, local leaders and individuals to address current and emerging community needs. We also work with nonprofit leaders and board members to establish endowment funds for organizations and charitable causes.
Led by People Like You
The Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley is governed by a Board of Trustees of philanthropists and business and community leaders, and managed by professional staff and investment experts. Our Dutchess, Putnam and Ulster County affiliates are each led by a local advisory board charged with the goal of enriching the quality of life for residents of the Hudson Valley region.
