Democrats will caucus in Massachusetts Saturday to select delegates to the party’s national convention this summer.
Based on the outcome of the March 1st primary 30 delegates will be chosen to vote for Hillary Clinton at the convention and 29 for Bernie Sanders.
Holyoke Mayor Alex Morse is hoping to attend his first national political convention as a Clinton delegate.
" And I want to be part of making sure the next president of the United States is a Democrat, a friend to cities and towns, and just a friend to the average middle class person in this country, which I think is so important given the options on the other side," said Morse.
Massachusetts will also send 25 so-called “super delegates” to the convention. They include the state’s Congressional delegation and top party officials.
