New York State Police are investigating a fatal skiing accident at the Whiteface Ski Center last week.
The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Ray Brook said Tuesday that 21-year old Nicholas Koch of Danville, Pennsylvania died December 23rd after he left the Lower Northway Trail on Whiteface Mountain and hit some trees.
Whiteface Ski Patrol and Wilminton EMS responded at the mountain and he was taken to the University of Vermont Health Center in Burlington, Vermont, but died from his injuries.
Anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to call the New York State Police.
