Northern New York Man Held For Threatening Canadian Officials

A Champlain, New York man is being held in jail after being charged with making a terrorist threat.
Clinton County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 33-year-old Gregory Nesbit on Wednesday and charged him with two counts of Making a Terrorist Threat, both felonies.

The sheriff’s office says Nesbit allegedly contacted Canadian authorities and local officials in Plattsburgh, NY and threatened violence against members of the Canadian government.  

He was arraigned in Champlain town court and sent to the Clinton County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail. Nesbit will return to court at a later date.
