New York State Police have arrested a staff member at a northern New York rehabilitation center for making false claims of abuse against vulnerable adults.
Tupper Lake resident Jesse L. Fletcher was arrested on February 6th after an investigation into allegations of abuse.
New York State Police say Fletcher made anonymous calls to the state’s Justice Center tip line to report incidents at a unit she supervised at the Sunmount Developmental Disabilities Services Office in Tupper Lake.
The subsequent investigation resulted in Fletcher and other staff members being placed on extended paid administrative leave.
Fletcher was charged with three counts of Falsely Reporting an Incident Involving a Vulnerable Adult and two counts of Providing a False Written Statement.
