Quebec City's mayor is investigating the possibility of a bid for the 2026 Winter Olympics, and has reached out to officials in Lake Placid regarding use of the region's facilities.
Quebec City's mayor, Regis Labeaume, is visiting the International Olympic Committee in Lausanne, Switzerland as the city investigates a possible future Winter Olympics bid.

Lake Placid hosted the Winter Games in 1932 and 1980.  Mayor Craig Randall says the IOC’s Agenda 2020 emphasizes the re-use of existing facilities, so Quebec City’s mayor reached out to the Adirondack village.

U.S. Olympic Committee spokesman Patrick Sandusky said the federation has not been contacted by Canada's Olympic committee, but at this time the USOC is focused on the 2024 summer bid for Los Angeles.

Quebec City officials are also contacting former winter hosts Calgary and Vancouver.
