Port Henry, Hermon Vote To Dissolve

Voters in the Village of Port Henry in Essex County, New York have voted to dissolve their village, 190 to 171. The remnants of the village will now be absorbed by the neighboring town of Moriah. Town and village officials have about a year to come up with a formal plan to merge services. Meantime, voters in the Village of Hermon in St. Lawrence County also voted to dissolve, 95 to 15.
