The Peace Corps has revealed its enrollment numbers for 2014, and several areas in our region have ranked high on their lists of volunteer-producing locations.
Vermont tops the list of states for its number of Peace Corps volunteers per capita with 7.8 volunteers per 100,000 residents, and Ithaca, New York tops the list of metropolitan areas with volunteers per capita. WAMC’s Jessica Bloustein Marshall spoke with Peace Corps Director Carrie Hessler-Radelet about the rankings, and the state of the Peace Corps.
