An 8-year-old child is in the hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Troy Tuesday morning.
Troy police said the child suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
A preliminary investigation found that the child entered the roadway from between two parked cars. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
